When my kid was little I started blogging for Sabotage Times as a way to release frustration. It ended up with me getting in all kinds of bother with a variety of people and companies, including Innocent smoothies and James Corden.
In 2007, I was approached by LVMH to write the Glasgow section for the Louis Vuitton European Travel Guides. I was again asked to write the current 2013 edition. I also got the opportunity to celebrate the launch at Louis Vuitton’s house, which was pretty darn fancy.
Need engaging copy? I’ve written for a variety of clients on a freelance basis, including:
Sainsbury’s, Clydesdale Bank, Glasgow Life, T-Mobile (via Sabotage Times in collaboration with Saatchi & Saatchi), Red Bull, The Dubai Supply Authority (I know, right?), North Lanarkshire College, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, Department Store for the Mind, Babcock and Business Gateway.
From 2009- 2012, I worked at the Gate Worldwide agency in Edinburgh, writing direct mail for SSE and M&S Energy, including letters, leaflets, booklets and posters…
I also helped to originate the ‘paint by numbers’ concept for Scotland’s Census 2011…
I also worked on the Scottish Government early years initiative, Play Talk Read. I researched and conceived hundreds of play ideas, written in a friendly, simple style – from messy paint and homemade play dough to an advent calendar with 24 seasonal play tips.
Back when the Kardashians were simply an amusing novelty, and people knew who the hell Courtney Stodden was, I was enlisted as the Trashy Celebrity Correspondent for DAME magazine, a website based in LA.
